2. Information We Collect
PomoDetox collects minimal information to provide and improve our services:
- App Preferences: Your timer settings (focus duration, break duration, etc.) are stored locally on your device only.
- Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
We do NOT collect:
- • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- • Location data
- • Contacts, photos, or files
- • Browsing history
3. Data Storage
All application settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android DataStore. This data:
- Never leaves your device (except advertising identifiers used by AdMob)
- Is never transmitted to our servers
- Is deleted when you uninstall the application
- Can be cleared anytime via Android Settings → Apps → PomoDetox → Clear Data
4. Third-Party Services
PomoDetox uses the following third-party services:
Google AdMob
Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data for personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

PomoDetox requests the following permissions:
Display over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW)
Required for Detox Mode to show a full-screen blocking overlay. This prevents you from accessing distracting apps during focus sessions. Optional - only used when you enable Detox Mode.
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)
Used to show timer progress in the notification bar while the app runs in background.
Internet Access
Required only for displaying advertisements.
These permissions are used solely for the app's core functionality.
6. Data Security
We take data security seriously:
- All network communications use HTTPS encryption
- Local data is stored in Android's secure app sandbox
- No sensitive personal data is collected or stored
7. Children's Privacy
PomoDetox does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to be safe for users of all ages. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data
- Opt out of personalized ads via device settings
- Deny optional permissions (overlay, notifications)
